Blogtober 2016

October is finally here (tomorrow), and I could not be happier. It’s my favorite month of the year. It’s finally time for Fall clothing, and for Halloween festivities. Bring on the DIY costumes and decorations, and the Halloween movie marathons (Hocus Pocus anyone?). For the month of October, I’ll be publishing a new post daily. Be sure to subscribe to my blog to get updates when I post! I’ve got a few ideas up my sleeve, especially a few Fall and Halloween tutorials and style ideas. Are there any October posts you…

Fall Bucket List

IT IS FINALLY FALL (I know, I’m a week late, but it’s still fall, and I’m still excited)! If you’re like me, you look forward to Fall. It’s my favorite time of the year. My birthday, Halloween, deer season… I love it. With Fall, comes Fall things, and they’re definitely some of my favorite things. Pumpkins, witches, Fall decorations, PSL, black cats… My heart is happy. I plan on completing this entire list this Fall (check back throughout the fall to check on my progress…

Birthday Celebration Weekend

Birthdays are almost everyone’s favorite day of the year (mine is second only to Halloween). There’s such an excitement with receiving gifts and getting to spend the day doing what you want to do. As I’ve grown older, I’ve stopped caring so much about the gifts, and have started caring more about spending time with people and birthday experiences. This year, someone asked me what I was doing for my birthday, and I told them I didn’t have much planned. I intended to spend my birthday at work, then going…

5 Quick and Easy Hairstyles for When You’re Running Late

I like sleep. I like a lot of sleep. I’m that person everybody hates at sleepovers because I set 500 alarms in the morning (only kidding, it’s usually around 10). I am absolutely, 100% not a morning person. Sometimes I get up early enough to actually straighten or curl my hair, but most mornings I sleep just a little too late and don’t have enough time. I’m usually running a little behind (running late is definitely my cardio), so I just throw my hair up. Here are 5 hairstyles for times when…

Top 5 Highlighters for Pale Skin

Let me start by saying that I am very fair. As in, fair enough that my older brother calls me Casper (very lovingly, I’m sure). It’s very frustrating when makeup brands are geared toward darker skin, without many options for us pale girls. I have found a few really good options that I love. My skin is also pink toned, which I think can also be hard to match. I have a hard time wearing gold tones (although if I’m wearing gold jewelry, I lean toward a gold highlighter). I know everyone loves…

Fun Halloween Playlist

Some people love Christmas, and start playing Christmas carols very early in the year (there is definitely a time when playing Christmas carols is too early). Anyone who knows me knows that I love Halloween. To get myself even more excited, I made a Halloween list on Spotify (and no, I don’t just listen to it in the fall). If you’re planning a Halloween party, or just love Halloween, a playlist of fun, spooky Halloween music is a must. Here are my must-have Halloween songs. “Monster Mash” -Bobby “Boris…

My Current Wishlist

With my birthday coming up in a little over a week and a recent move, there are a few things I’ve had my eye on. Here are some insights on items I’m currently interested in! Quite a few of the items are from Amazon or Etsy.   I LOVE to cook. And with that, I have several utensils and need a place to put them! I don’t have a lot of drawer space, so cute little containers like this one from Amazon are perfect! And I love this color! Utensil Container   I&#8217…

25 Facts About Me

Hey y’all! As an introduction to my blog, I thought I’d share some facts about myself. I broke my arm in 7th grade during volleyball practice. It is the only bone I’ve ever broken. I went to Hong Kong for two weeks when I was a sophomore in high school for an exchange program. I was supposed to go to Hong Kong my freshman year, but my grandfather passed away and I wanted to attend his funeral. There are the same amount of years between my oldest brother and me, and my oldest…
