I know a lot of people have been keeping up with my 2018 project pan (that’s now complete). I talked about my conclusions in my project finale. I’m very excited to share that I hit pan on a few bonus products that weren’t in my project!
First, I finished two setting sprays. I love both the Urban Decay All Nighter and Skindinavia setting sprays. I used a travel size of the UD spray, and a full size of the Skindinavia. They’re definitely two of my favorites.
I finished a concealer and primer, which is exciting. The NYX HD concealer isn’t one of my favorites, so I’m glad it’s out of my collection. I do like the Maybelline Blur + Illuminate primer, but it isn’t cruelty free, so I won’t be repurchasing it.
I finished up a BB cream and a tinted moisturizer. I love both of these options. They’re lightweight, so they’re great for summer or when I don’t want a lot of coverage. They’re both great for days when I’m running errands or not wearing a full face of makeup.
Unfortunately, I won’t be repurchasing either of these. Maybelline isn’t cruelty free, so I won’t be repurchasing the BB cream, and the Bliss tinted moisturizer is no longer available. I snagged it when Kohl’s had it on clearance, but they don’t carry the brand anymore.
I finished four mascaras, which is less than I should have finished. I hope I finished more than that and I just didn’t keep them. I think two of these were subscription box items. The Maybelline lash stiletto and L’oreal lash paradise mascaras (a dupe for the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara) are two of my favorites, but sadly, again, neither of these are cruelty free.
The Benefit Kabrow is my favorite brow product. Sadly, not cruelty free. This one is a deluxe sample, but I have a full size that’s in my 2019 project pan. I’m so excited that Covergirl is cruelty free, because they have a similar product that I want to try once I finish the full size Kabrow.
I didn’t plan on hitting pan on either of these highlighters, but I’m excited that I did. Neither of these are my favorite formulas, so I’m DEFINITELY pleasantly surprised. The L’oreal Lumi is so pretty. I love that there are four shades in the pan. I’ve hit pan in every shade except the bottom shade. I know Becca highlighters are favorites for a lot of people, but I’m just not a huge fan. It doesn’t last long on my skin and it’s pretty glittery. Both of these are in my 2019 project pan, so I can see how much more I can use.
This is actually a NYX blush. However, I use it as a contour shade. Taupe perfect for a contour shade for pale skin. I definitely wasn’t trying to hit pan in this product (especially since the Kevyn Aucoin contour powder was actually in my project pan), but I really like this product. I’m continuing to use it in my 2019 project pan. If I use it and the Kevyn Aucoin sculpting powder completely, I will probably repurchase it.
I finished three brush cleaner bottles. I really started focusing on cleaning my brushes more toward the end of the year, and it’s definitely something I’m going to keep working on from 2019 on.
I really don’t know if I’ve ever finished a perfume, especially a high end perfume. My friend Sam gave this to me when it was pretty full. I’m pleasantly surprised that I finished this, but I’m also sad. It has a beautiful scent and I would love to repurchase it, but I have a few body sprays I need to finish up before purchasing a new bottle. I had a lot of compliments when I wore this perfume, so it may be a future purchase.
Y’all. I did it. I finished a tube of lip balm. Without losing it!!! I snagged this blackberry lip balm at Gap on Black Friday a couple of years ago when I left my chapstick in the hotel, and oh my gosh it’s amazing. It smells great, it tastes great, and it keeps my lips very moisturized. However… I went back to the same Gap store this past Black Friday, and I don’t think they carry it anymore. I’m so sad about that; I really wanted to repurchase it. If you happen to ever see it in stores, PLEASE let me know!
