Hi, I’m Courtney, a thirty-something Kentucky girl with a passion for writing. I’ve been working as a Technical Writer since I graduated from Morehead State University in 2012. I have a journalism degree, and have loved writing since I was a little girl. I like the writing part of my job, but I missed writing for fun and writing about things I’m passionate about, so I started Kentucky Girl Ramblings.
I’m fueled by makeup and coffee, and have a passion for fashion. I love trying out local coffee shops, all things Fall, and new makeup. I’m a spooky queen to my core, and Halloween is my favorite day of the year. I love polar bears, dinosaurs, a good PSL, pickles, and anything pumpkin. I’m a Swiftie who loves to travel, but I love sharing my favorite local Kentucky spots.
In January of 2017, I became a Dog Mom to a fluffy little Border Collie pup named Remus. A friend showed him to me after he was found on the side of the road, and I couldn’t say no. He’s spoiled rotten, but he deserves every bit of it.
Although I’ve never wanted to be a mom to anything without four legs and fur, I’m a proud aunt of four beautiful nieces and a handsome nephew. I became an aunt at the age of 14, and I could not be happier. I get to be the fun Aunt who spoils the babies and plays, then sends them home. It’s such a joy, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
