This post is sponsored by Wendy’s. All words and opinions are my own. Family is so important to me. I was blessed with people I love so much, and I love spendingtime with them. Being an aunt is my favorite thing in the world, and my nieces and nephewalways bring me so much joy. Unfortunately, with all our busy schedules, we don’t always get tospend as much time together as we’d like. Wendy’s breakfast is a great help for us. You canorder ahead in the app, so it’s ready when you arrive at the restaurant…

Birthday Freebies

It’s officially my birthday month, and I’m excited to celebrate all month long. Tons of businesses have birthday deals. I picked up quite a few last year, and can’t wait to score all the freebies this year! Below are the deals I’ve found in the Lexington, KY area, but most corporate businesses do provide the same freebies. *Some businesses may require an app download/account or Rewards Member subscription. A&W – free root beer float Aerie – 25% off Applebee’s – free dessert and appetizer Arby’s…

Chicago Trip 2024

Earlier this year, I went to a work conference in Chicago. I had a GREAT time. I was a little anxious, but I ended up hanging out with a coworker the entire trip and we ended up being a perfect travel match. I’m sharing what we did – food, drinks, and exploring the city a little. I’d recommend every place we went! Food + Drink Starbucks Chicago is home to the largest Starbucks in the world. It has 5 floors, with a different theme on each floor (I have a photo shown below that lists the floor…

Pool + Beach Favorites

Summer is in full swing. If you’ve been here a while, you know I hate the heat. If you’re new here, hi, hello, I’m Courtney, and I’m a Fall girlie through and through. But we all do what we have to do to survive the summer, and for me, that definitely includes a few fun pool days. Pool days don’t have to be boring, and I love throwing a few pool favorites into a bag and relaxing in the water. These are items I keep around and almost always toss…

My Travel Essentials

I have a few trips planned this year, and that means a bit of packing. I love watching packing videos on Tik Tok, and it’s had me thinking about my travel essentials. These are items I pack almost every single time I travel, or items I think make packing easier and/or more efficient. I thought I’d share those items in case it’s helpful for someone else. If you want to see more of these products in action, or packing videos, tips and tricks, and travel content, check out and follow my Tik Tok…

Sephora Sale Recommendations – Spring 2024

The Sephora sale runs April 5-April 15 (Rouge starts the 5th; VIP and Insider starts the 9th). The percentage depends on insider status – Rouge gets 20%, VIP gets 15%, and Insider gets 10%. I already have my cart ready, but I have some recommendations of my own to share. These are products I absolutely love and use frequently in my makeup/beauty routines. Some links on Kentucky Girl Ramblings accounts may be affiliate links for which I receive a commission for your click-through and/or purchase. Links that are provided throughout my website may be affiliate links…

February Lipsticks of the Day

Lipsticks are one of my favorite makeup items. I love a neutral eye with a pop of color on the lips, or a bold eye look with a neutral lip. I also love a bold eye look with a colorful lip, or a neutral eye look with a neutral lip shade. My friend Priyanka and I (check out her beauty blog here) challenged ourselves in Feburary to share one lippie a day on Tik Tok. It was fun, challenging, and successful, and I thought I’d share them here also. I tried to include multiple brands, formulas, finishes, shades…

Lexington Bartending School

I recently attended a blogger event at Lexington Bartending School. We tried a few concoctions, and learned about the school. I posted a reel about the event on my Instagram, but I wanted to do a full post here as well. Plus, I love the pictures for this event, and wanted to share those as well as the videos (and all the yummy cocktail details). We tasted some surprising cocktails that were impressive and delightful, and gained some knowledge about cocktail making. First, let’s talk a little about the school. They tech bartending basics, preparing bartenders for employment…

Galentine’s Day at The Amsden

Galentine’s Day at The Amsden is my favorite Galentine’s Day tradition. I’ve attended every year since they started hosting this event, and it’s always so much fun. This year, a few other local businesses in downtown Versailles also participated in some of the activities, so I’ll include those also. I met up with a couple of my blogger friends to celebrate, and we wandered around downtown exploring some of the local spots. If you want to check out my posts from previous years, the links are at the bottom of…

January Outfits

January is officially over, and I really tried to put some effort in last month. I know it’s a little cliche to get motivated and start the year out trying hard, but here we are. I really wanted to have fun with the month and challenge myself, and styling some cute outfits was one of those challenges. I’m just going to share photos here, but if you want outfit details (and links), I’ve tried to keep my LTK updated throughout the month, and as many pieces as possible are linked there (click here to…
