Galentine’s Day is Saturday. If you’ve been here a while, you may have seen my previous Galentine’s Day at The Amsden post. It’s one of my favorite annual traditions, and the photo opportunities are always too good to pass up. The Amsden (the cutest little coffee shop located in Versailles, KY) is always decorated with so much creativity for holidays, and I love celebrating Galentine’s Day with friends. This year, I went with my friend Sara, and I couldn’t pass up the chance to wear a Valentine’s Day themed outfit that I’ve been so excited about.
Galentine’s Day (and Valentine’s Day, which is Sunday!) is a fun chance to get dolled up – whether you’re celebrating with friends, family, or a significant other. This outfit is fun and flirty, and perfect no matter who you’re celebrating with.
This top is so cute. I love the pink stripes and red heart details. It’s very girly, which I always love. It’s long enough to wear with leggings, but I wanted to dress it up with this red velvet midi skirt. These pair so well together, and the whole outfit is so affordable!
I threw on a pair of heels with this outfit, just to elevate the look a little more. The pair I’m wearing (they’re called Courtney heels – how perfect?!) is a purchase I made a few years ago, but these block heels are still available and would also be gorgeous with the shirt and skirt. Even wearing the top with leggings (these are always my favorites) would pair well with these heels. See how I’ve styled the block heels in this post and this post.
I always love to add fun accessories to outfits, and these earrings and this red quilted purse are great additions. I had so many compliments on the earrings – black hearts are a specialty of mine (it matches my own). They’re also affordable (and on sale right now!), and so fun no matter what time of year it is. This pair of earrings is also on sale and would be a great option! I also love a good themed makeup look, as always. This palette is Valentine’s Day themed, and is absolutely gorgeous. I used it to create the look I put together to go with this outfit, and it was so easy to create something pretty.
Emily, the owner of The Amsden, always kills it when it comes to decor – but the real star of the show no matter the occasion is the drinks. Their white mocha is the best I’ve ever had, and their Fall drinks are always incredible. I chose the Love you a Latte for my Galentine’s drink (I wish I’d ordered it hot AND iced, because it’s always delicious), and Sara had the hot chocolate. We both thoroughly enjoyed them, and I can’t wait to snag it again next year.
The Amsden has a cute little shop to enjoy while you’re waiting for your drink, and there are so many cute options. Kayla Weber Art (she’s amazing and so sweet and talented) has had a display since the opening, there are so many fun jewelry options, and the mug selections are always a hit (check out this Instagram post for my Christmas mug from The Amsden, and this Instagram post to see the decor The Amsden had set up for Christmas).
Happy Galentine’s Day y’all! Leave me a comment who you’re spending the day with!
