I’ve been to Harkness Edwards Vineyards in Winchester a few times now, and I fall in love with it every time I’m there. It’s the cutest little place with a great view and delicious wine, and the owners are so warm and friendly. They reached out to me to ask if I wanted to help host a Halloween party at the vineyard, and my heart jumped for joy.
I invited a few influencers and close friends, and we had a blast trying out the wines and taking pictures. Whole Foods provided food for snacks, including a yummy charcuterie tray. I made some little Nutter Butter ghosts and Halloween pretzels.
One of the dates the vineyard suggested happened to be September 23… aka my birthday! I thought this would be the perfect way to spend my birthday! I even made my own Halloween-themed cake!
I asked if the party could be a costume party, and was thrilled when they agreed. They even wanted me to bring Remus! We revealed our Halloween costumes: Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII. Remus wasn’t a huge fan of his costume, but he tolerated it enough for some pictures. He’s been to the vineyard twice with me now, and he’s loved every second of it.
I am a sweet wine fan, and HEV Big Red is amazing. It’s a very sweet red, but still contains 12% alcohol. I love that it’s inspired by the legendary horse Man O’ War (affectionately nicknamed Big Red). Although I prefer sweet wines, Harkness Edwards has a large variety of wines, and I like most of them! I highly recommend Fling! It’s a white blend that “has an excellent body and a clean smooth finish. It’s bold and daring like your spontaneous weekend getaways, shopping sprees and occasional alter ego.” I mean… no complaints there!
The Peach House is a gorgeous little venue. It’s the perfect setting for events. I think a bridal shower would be perfect at the vineyard! The Peach House is even available as an Air Bnb! Email info@HEVineyards for details. You can even rent the entire house for a private party! Y’all, definitely go check them out.
I’ve been to a wine tasting at the vineyard, and it was amazing. If you’re looking for a fun, unique event, I highly recommend scheduling a tasting. Over the summer, they hosted a Wines with Rhythm series, and they’re continuing the series through the early Fall. In December, they’re hosting a Dinner Theater that I think sounds amazing!
