I love Old Navy’s swing dresses (like the one I’m wearing). They’re so comfortable, affordable, and they are so versatile.

I love pairing fun cardigans and kimonos with solid clothing. This white kimono with black floral details is so comfortable and pretty. It’s sheer, which makes it perfect for the warmer months.

I love that this kimono allows me to add some coverage without adding a lot of bulk. It’s light and airy, and I love this combination to work. PLUS, it’s only $8! I added this pretty tassel necklace and earrings (the ones I talked about in this post) to add a little pop. I love that they’re black and white, which goes perfectly with the dress and kimono.

The second way I wore this dress is on its own with some statement jewelry and a fun, colorful clutch.

The tassel necklace I mentioned above also comes in a more colorful version. I loved both the black and white and the colorful versions, so I snagged both. The earrings I paired with the colorful necklace are also beaded, but they’re a little different from the black and white earrings. I think they’re so fun! They also match the necklace perfectly, which is great when trying to coordinate pops of color into an outfit that features a black dress.

Pops of color can be added in many different ways. I love adding a pop of color into my makeup for a fun addition to a basic black dress. I’m wearing Urban Decay’s Vice Lipstick in the color Snitch (it also comes in a gloss form and a lip liner if that’s your preference).

I added a fun little wristlet from Old Navy to my outfit that matched my jewelry. Unfortunately, it’s now sold out, but this pretty floral wristlet is also a great option.

I love the versatility of this dress. It’s a nice little casual dress for work, a day of shopping, or a girl’s day, but it’s also a wonderful date night dress.

A statement necklace like the one I’m wearing can make any basic dress a little fancier. This one is so pretty, and it’s under $10! I love that it looks fancy, but it’s really affordable.

Another great addition to a date night outfit is a sexy pair of shoes like these gorgeous bow-back heels.

I LOVE these shoes. I can’t say they’re the most comfortable, but they are stunning. I was drawn to them immediately. The bow is so pretty and feminine.

If heels aren’t your thing, a sassy pair of sandals like these or the ones I mentioned in this post can also do the trick. I’m wearing these slide sandals in black, but they come in other colors too (another way to add a pop of color)!
