Leopard Pants + Black Peplum Top

Kentucky has been in a weird weather phase lately. We call it Fool’s Spring. It’s been pretty warm for winter, but it’s still chilly enough for long sleeves. It’s cold right now, but warmth is coming back soon (I think). I’ve been loving it, and it’s been fun for my wardrobe. I love work outfits that can transition to great post-work outfits, so comfort is key.

The main focus of this outfit is the leopard pants. I was nervous to try these on, but once I did, I wanted to live in them. I thought they’d be legging material, but they’re really more of a pair of work pants. They’re thicker than leggings, but they’re really comfortable and stretchy. And if you search my blog for “leopard”, you’ll see that I’m loving this trend!

Peplum tops are hit or miss for me. I love having a more fitted shirt at the top, that turns into something flowy at the bottom. Sometimes they can be a little too flowy, and can make a person look bigger. I don’t have that issue with this top. It’s a simple black, but has brown buttons down the top. I’ve cinched in a little with a skinny belt, and it adds a little more definition.

I love a good pair of black flats. They’re dressy enough for work, but comfortable enough to last all day. I like the look of a pointy toe, but my feet just don’t agree with them. I can’t find these flats to link them, but I snagged them at Walmart for under $10.

Sunglasses are an accessory that adds a little jazz to any outfit. I found this pair of sunnies that are so gorgeous! The sparkle is so fun! They’re under $15 too, so they’re really affordable. They currently match my nails, which I think is so fun.

I’ve been loving backpack purses too. They’re so convenient. I found this one that I really like. It holds quite a bit, but isn’t bulky. I also love a good pair of earrings that spices up an outfit. I mentioned these leopard earrings from Babaloo Jewelry in my leopard sherpa post. I seriously love these earrings. They are so simple but so gorgeous.

This has just given me a great idea to pair a black peplum top I have with leopard pants – thanks for the inspiration!
