My Favorite Cruelty Free Skincare Products

As of November, I haven’t been purchasing any cruelty free skincare or makeup. I’ve had to stop purchasing some of my favorite items, but I’ve found some really great CF items. I thought I’d share some of my favorites.

Sun protection is so important, especially for someone as fair as I am. My nieces play softball every weekend, so I’m in the sun a lot throughout the summer. This means I need to make sure my skin is protected as much as possible. I’ve been loving Sun Bum products, especially the SPF 50 Sunscreen Spray (it also comes in different SPF variations), SPF 30 Lip Balm (the coconut and mango scents smell and taste amazing), and the Clear Zinc with SPF 50 (I use this all over my face under my makeup). This brand has been a great find for me. It works really well, and they’re affordable. I picked mine up from the FSA store and used my insurance benefits, but it’s also available at Target and Ulta.
I really struggled to find a cruelty free shaving cream. Most main brands test on animals. I discovered Cremo Moisturizing Shave Cream on Amazon, and I’ve been loving it! I don’t get any skin irritation with it, the Coconut Mango scent smells great (I haven’t tried any of the other scents), and it makes my legs feel really smooth.
Influenster sent me a body yogurt from The Body Shop, and it’s one of my favorite products they’ve ever sent me (they sent me this product free for testing, but all opinions are my own). I was sent the Moringa scent, but when I run out, I want to try the Mango scent. It makes my legs feel so smooth and hydrated. I put it on right after I shower and dry off, and it dries very quickly. I was very impressed. I use the Cremo shaving cream then use this, and my legs feel great.
My skin is looking great right now, and I attribute it all to my skincare routine. My face has transformed from dry, flaky skin into healthy, glowing skin. I’m so happy with it. One thing that has saved my skin is the Yes to Coconut line. I think they stopped selling my favorite cleanser and face mask, but this whole line is great. They have a new cleanser and cleansing balm I’d like to try soon (maybe when I run out of my cleanser).
Liv Loves Her Makeup is a cruelty free YouTuber. She recommended Thayer’s Witch Hazel toner. I picked it up and I am THRILLED. I have very sensitive skin, so normal toners make it seem like my face is on fire. This one is alcohol free, so it doesn’t give me that burn. If you’re looking for a great toner that works for sensitive skin, I highly recommend this one.
I know Tarte is pretty controversial right now, but I love a couple of their skincare products. Their FRXXXTION Stick Exfoliating Cleanser is my favorite exfoliator. I love that it’s easy to travel with (so I don’t have to pack a cleanser and exfoliating scrub), and it works really well for me. I use it frequently before face masks to help my skin glow. I also love using the Maracuja Oil at night before bed. I just apply a generous amount to my face then let it work its magic overnight. It really helps my dry skin feel nice and soft and hydrated in the morning. I usually pick this up when Ulta has their 21 Days of Beauty sale. The travel size lasts me quite a while (I don’t use it every night).
I love using the Pacifica Dream Youth Day & Night Face Cream as a moisturizer. It’s light, and it does a great job of moisturizing my skin. I love that it’s a day/night cream, so I don’t have to keep two separate products around.
I’ve been using the Ulta Radiance Brightening Serum, and I’ve been enjoying it. It does have a radiant effect that I’ve been loving. However, it looks like that has also been discontinued, so if you have a favorite affordable cruelty free serum you love, let me know!
If you have any favorite cruelty free skincare products that’s really good for dry skin, let me know in the comments! I love trying out new products! For a great list of cruelty free brands and for more information on becoming cruelty free, check out Cruelty Free Kitty.
