My Top 25 Nordstrom Picks under $50

The Nordstrom Sale is here. The exclusive (eye roll) early access is over, and the sale is now available to anyone and everyone. It lasts July 19-August 4, and is the time of year when all fashion bloggers put out their recommendations… yeah yeah, I’m no different. BUT. I wanted to keep all my recommendations under $50. I don’t spend a lot on this sale (I stocked up a little more last year, because I won a gift card, woo hoo!), but there are a few items I think are worth it. I am NOT saying buy everything on this list. Please do not. These are items I think are great for everyone, no matter their body type or preferences. There are some really nice staple pieces in the sale, and some AMAZING deals.

These are items I think are worth the money. They are items I’d recommend to a friend if asked, and all items I would purchase with my own money if I had an unlimited amount (I do not). I made a couple of purchases on this sale, but they’re items I know I’ll get plenty of use out of. Those items are included and disclosed below.

Now. My recommendations. I’m not going to recommend a ton of basic tees or sweaters. Honestly, I think there are better deals out there. On Black Friday, Kohl’s has tees for $5-ish, and sweaters for $10-ish. Seriously, if you have sweaters already, but want to add a few more to your closet, I definitely suggest waiting until then. Old Navy had a 50% sale earlier this week. Basic tees were cheaper then. You can also find very affordable basic tees at Walmart and Kohl’s on a regular basis. When Target has tees 2/$20, they’re going to be a better deal than the Nordstrom sale.

I usually disclaim this at the end (and it is disclaimed at the end also), but I want to make it clear that all links in this post are affiliate links. I do make a small commission off each link purchase. You are not required to use these links, but any support is appreciated and helps KGR continue producing content. Thank you.

Things I do recommend: First, my top pick of the sale: my favorite self tanner (below). This is the only self tanner I use. I have a self tanning routine post coming soon. I purchased this last year during the sale. It’s an incredible deal, and I highly, HIGHLY suggest this if you want a great self tanner at a great price.

I love dusters and longer cardigans. They’re nice for cooler weather, and even just for hanging out around the house. I have the longline cardigan, and it’s so nice. I wear it all the time.

One thing I REALLY recommend snagging during this sale is a nice blazer. They have two really cute ones at affordable prices. I picked up the cotton blend boyfriend blazer this year in light grey. I think blazers are so nice for work, or even just for outfits that need a little something to look professional and elevated. I picked one up last year during the sale too, and I have zero regrets about it. I highly highly suggest picking up one of these.

They have some $20 and under legging options during the sale. If you want some basic leggings, this is a great time to snag them. Zella leggings are amazing, and absolutely worth the price in my opinion.

There are a couple of really nice blankets on sale right now. I have the Kennebunk throw and I love it. It’s so cute and fluffy and warm. I have it in grey, and it’s a really nice blanket.

There are some really cute tops during this sale. I don’t think they’re NECESSARY, but they are really cute.

Utility Blouse, $49.90

One thing I hate about this sale is that some items sell out REALLY quickly. It can be really annoying to find something you want, order it, then have it cancelled. I purchased the sweater below in a grey leopard print (shocking, I know. Me? Grey or black and white leopard?!). It’s available in other colors, but sadly, the leopard pattern is currently unavailable.

If you want to check out a (completely sarcastic) post on how to shop the Nordstrom sale, check out my friend Lindsay’s post! I thought it was pretty amusing. Again, please do not feel like you NEED to shop this sale. They do have some great deals, but I promise there’s nothing you (or I) can’t live without!
