Pool Day Essentials

This weekend was beautiful. Well, Saturday was. I spent the morning volunteering with some girls from my small group. The afternoon was so pretty, so I headed to the pool.

I’ve teamed up with a few Etsy shops to show you my pool bag essentials – and they’re so fun!
First, a cute bathing suit is of course necessary. I picked this one up at Old Navy last year. I love the scalloped edges – it adds a fun and classy look to this suit – check out similar ones from Target *here (this one comes in 7 fun colors)
and *here.
Scallops are adorable. I like to match, and this *KGR koozie and sunglasses strap  from CloudAttica on Etsy are perfect! The koozie is great for keeping a poolside drink cold, and you won’t have to worry about your sunglasses falling off by (or in) the pool with the strap! And they’re totally customizable!

I have a bad habit of breaking or losing sunglasses. The strap is helpful for keeping your sunglasses close to you, but I use a cheap pair of sunglasses for busy days – at the softball fields, amusement parks, travel, and pool days. I love these – they’re less than $10 and arrive quickly with Prime shipping.
Sunscreen is an obvious pool necessity if you’re fair like me (or if you have kids that are burned easily), but I also like to wear a hat if I’m just lazing by the pool to keep the sun off and out of my face. Patsy’sPeculiarPieces on Etsy was kind enough to send me this super cute floppy hat, and it’s perfect for pool time! She personalizes each hat – you can have your name or initials or a cute saying on it. I love that it’s customizable!

I found my pool bag last year at Target. They still have similar ones this year that are great for keeping your items together at the pool. And the colors are conveniently similar to their scalloped bathing suits that I mentioned! Check them out *here.
I found a super cute *coverup at Walmart – $10 is a great deal. I also picked up some swim *shorts, just in case I wanted to leave the pool and grab a snack after.
Lazing by the pool is always nice, but lazing in the pool is even better. I found this fun *pizza pool float at Kohl’s. Gather multiple friends who own this float, and you can even create a whole pizza pie!
I know swan floats are popular this year, but I’m personally loving these fun *swan drink floats! You can keep your drink cool in your koozie, then keep it with you in the pool! There are plenty of other float styles that I’m loving, and you can see them *here, *here, *here, and *here.
If you’re looking for a refreshing poolside drink, check out my prosecco punch lemonade recipe.
Anything you think I’m missing for a great day at the pool? Leave me a comment and I’ll be sure to add it in!
