Striped Summer Dress // Evan’s Orchard Sunflowers

Dresses are a summer wardrobe staple for me. They’re light and airy, but still very pretty. I’m very partial to Old Navy dresses. They’re affordable and are usually adorable on.

I found this cute striped dress a couple of months ago. It’s black and white, mostly, so of course I love it. But it also contains little yellow lines that are so pretty.
I had planned on going to the sunflower fields at Evan’s Orchard, and this dress was perfect. The black and yellow matched the sunflowers so well, and it looks so pretty against the field.

I love the cinched waist. Old Navy swing dresses are great, but I’m happy this one has a little shape to it.
I love the floppy hat trend. It doesn’t seem to be as popular this year (maybe it’ll come back in the Fall), but I think it adds a fun edge to pretty outfits. I snagged this one last year, and decided to pull it out.
I think the hat worked well with the sunflower fields. It’s so fun and chic.
Hats are a great piece for me, because I’m so fair. It keeps the sun out of my eyes and off my face, so it’s perfect for summer and Fall. It can be dressed up with a pretty dress (like the one I’m wearing) or down with leggings and a basic tee.
I picked this bag up before I went to Chicago, and I’ve been loving it all summer. It’s a great travel purse. It’s large enough to fit my camera and all my other usual purse belongings, which is perfect. I love the bow detail on the front.
I also wanted this specific bag because it’s versatile. It can be used as a backpack (again, great for travel), or it can be converted to a crossbody. It’s a great way to change up an outfit.
Evan’s Orchard is a favorite spot of mine. I can’t wait to visit again in the Fall when the pumpkin patch and corn maze are back! The sunflower fields are free this year, so go check them out! They also have sunflowers available for purchase!
