2019 Project Pan

This post is coming pretty late. I know, I know, it’s almost March. But better late than never, right? If you don’t know what project panning is, check out my 2018 Project Pan. It was my first year of panning, and I loved it. I took these pictures in January, and I’ve been working on panning these products the entire year, but I’m just now sharing them (fun fact: I’ve already finished or hit pan on some products!).

I’m including two eyeliners in my project this year. The
Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner is my favorite drugstore eyeliner, but it’s running pretty low. I think it will be pretty easy to use it up. I’m sad that it’s not cruelty free, because this won’t be a repurchased item.

Next is the Makeup For Ever Aqua XL Pencil Eyeliner . It’s a mini, so I think it will be a good focus. I also really like this eyeliner. It’s a great black eyeliner.

I have three mascaras open currently: Catrice Rock Couture mascara, Covergirl Total Tease mascara, and the Essence Lash Princess mascara. I’m going to use these three until March (mascaras expire after 3 ish months so they need to be thrown away after this) or until they start not performing as well (The Rock Couture mascara is already done).

I hit pan on two highlighters in 2018: the L’oreal Lumi Highlighter and the Becca Pearl Highlighter. I talked about both of them in my 2018 bonus project pan. I don’t necessarily want to finish these highlighters completely. Honestly, they’re two of my least favorite highlighters in my collection. I just want to try to use them as much as possible by the end of the year.

The Nyx Blush in Taupe is amazing. I talked about it in my 2018 bonus project pan also. It’s such a great contour shade for pale skin. I really love using it. It’s just a great ashy shade that works so well with my skin. I THINK I can finish it by the end of the year. It’s really soft and nice, so we’ll see!

Two foundations I’d already made pretty good progress on before 2019 are the L’oreal Lumi and the L’oreal True Match. Sadly, they’re both L’oreal, so they aren’t cruelty free, so I won’t be able to repurchase them. I really like the Lumi foundation. It’s great on my skin, and gives my face a fresh look. The downside to it, is that it’s a little more yellow toned (as you can see in the photo). But once I have other makeup on with it, it’s not super noticeable. I’ll probably use the True Match foundation a little more in the summer, when my skin is less dry.

This might be a little ambitious, but I want to finish up these four primers by the end of the year. The NYX Hydra Touch primer only has a little bit left, so I think it will be done by the end of this month. The Maybelline Baby Skin is running pretty low too. I think this will be a good one for the summer. I really like this primer, and I’m sad that it’s Maybelline so I can’t repurchase it. The Smashbox Pore Minimizing Primer is great for the area around my nose. This one will probably be the most challenging for me. The Becca First Light Priming Filter is one I haven’t really used much. It’s a mini, so that will make it a little easier to use I think. I think this will be a good one to use when my skin is a little dryer once the NYX primer is gone.

I have a mini of the Urban Decay eyeshadow primer. I’d like to use that up so I can focus on my full size eyeshadow primers. I want to use up my Too Faced shadow insurace, also. It’s a little over halfway gone, so I want to get it used up so I have one less primer in my collection.

The Smashbox Primer Water is a mini (I think it was a deluxe sample from Sephora). It’s really easy to use up, so I want to just get it out of my collection.

I have two face powders I want to use up. One is the Maybelline Master Fix Powder. It’s a loose powder, and I don’t have much left. The E.L.F. Face Powder is a pressed powder. It’s nice, but right now my skin is so dry that this just emphasizes texture. I do like to set my undereyes with it, and it works really nicely for that. I’ll get more use out of it in the summer, when my skin is a bit more hydrated.M

Two products I LOVE but I think have been discontinued are the Essence Say No to Dark Circles and the Catrice Camouflage Cream Concealer. The Essence concealer is amazing, and really brightens the dark circles under my eyes. The Catrice concealer is available in liquid form, but I love this potted version. I’ll be sad when they’re gone, but I think they’ll be easy to use.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure is amazing. It’s such a beautiful color, and I reach for it all the time. I don’t know how realistic hitting pan is for me with this product, but I’m going to try! I’m just going to use as much as possible, and be happy with whatever progress I make.

You can’t really tell in this photo, but I have a little bit of a dip in a few of the shades in the Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 palette. I’m not trying to hit pan on any specific shades, but I’d like to hit pan on at least one. More than that would be GREAT. I think the 3 left shades are the most likely candidates, but as long as I hit pan on one I’ll be happy.U

I know there are a lot of items in the above photo. BUT I’ve already finished one of these bottles, and I’m VERY close to finishing another. So, I think this is a pretty realistic goal. I have 5 setting sprays in this project: Mac Fix +, Smashbox Primer Water, Urban Decay All Nighter, Farmacy Skin Dew, and Boscia White Charcoal Mattifying Setting Spray. Stay tuned for updates to see which ones I’ve finished up!

I finished a deluxe sample of the Benefit Kabrow in my 2018 bonus project pan, but I’m trying to finish up my full size. I love it, but it’s not cruelty free. Covergirl just announced their cruelty free status, and they have a similar product, so I want to finish this one up before I try the Covergirl pomade out. The NYX brow mascara is easy when I need a very quick, easy brow look. I think its lifespan is about done, so I just want to get as much use out of it as I can.

That’s it! I definitely have more products in this pan than my 2018 project pan, but I think I can definitely make some good progress on all of these! Like I mentioned, I’ve already finished up a couple of these products, and I’ve hit pan on a couple.
