Harry Potter Project Pan

I was scrolling through my suggested videos on YouTube, and one really stuck out to me. A Harry Potter Project Pan. I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan, and I really love project pans (check out my current 2019 Project Pan). I thought this was such a fun idea, and I definitely wanted to join!

The original video I saw was by Christina Chang. She provided some prompts/guidelines, so I’ll be discussing my items based on those! If you’re a Harry Potter fan too, you know 7 is a very important number throughout the series. 7 books, 7 Weasley children, 7 horcruxes, 7 years at Hogwarts, etc. There are 7 categories for this project, which I think is very fitting! Each prompt is based on the books (question 1 is Sorcerer’s Stone, question 2 is Chamber of Secrets, etc).

  1. Sorcerer’s Stone: Which would you choose? Slytherin or Gryffindor? (Green item or Red item)

Slytherin, obviously. Hiss hiss y’all. I was a Slytherin in the first Pottermore, and I’m still a Slytherin now that it’s updated. For the first item, I’m choosing my Storybook Cosmetics Wizardry and Witchcraft palette. The shade Potions is an amazing green. I wore this shade to Harry Potter World, and it’s gorgeous. I will happily focus on this shade for the next few months. Plus, I thought it was very appropriate to use a shade from this palette, considering it was inspired by Harry Potter.

2. Chamber of Secrets: Item that you pretend doesn’t exist?

This one was hard for me. I’ve been trying to be better about decluttering, and the items left in my collection are ones I really do like. I went with the City Color Be Matte blush trio. This is a product I haven’t really been using much, So I’m going to throw this one in to get some good use out of it.

3. Prisoner of Azkaban: “You have the Grim!” Choose an item others hate but you love.

I had a hard time thinking of a product for this category. But then I looked through all my makeup, and it hit me. The Too Faced white chocolate bar palette was NOT a hit. At all. To me, this palette is perfect. The shades are GORGEOUS. These are seriously my perfect shades that make me drool. NOW. The SHADES are gorgeous. The quality isn’t amazing. But I look at this palette and I’m so inspired. I’m not sure which shade I’m going to focus on from this palette yet, but I know the palette was a fail for Too Faced, but it’s something I really do like.

4. Goblet of Fire: An item to honor Cedric.

When I think of Cedric, I think of Quidditch. I thought about going the Hufflepuff route and choosing something black or yellow, but then I thought WAIT. Cedric is a seeker… GOLDEN SNITCH. I know I have some golden items that would be fun for this project. I LOVE the Fenty Beauty Killawatt highlighter duo in the shades lightning dust/fire crystal. Both of these are golden shades, and they’re both stunning. I have a dip in both of these shades already, so I definitely think I can hit pan on them by July.

5. Order of the Pheonix: Pick an item that reminds you of Luna Lovegood.

I really like Christina’s thought process of choosing something dreamy for Luna. That’s honestly pretty perfect. But since I didn’t go with Hufflepuff colors for Cedric, I’m going with Ravenclaw colors for Luna. Blue is one of Ravenclaw’s colors, so I’m going with my Mac single shadow in Atlantic Blue. I used to wear this on every UK game day, so I have a pretty significant dip in this shadow already. I think it’ll be easy to hit pan on it, and it’ll inspire me to use this shade more, which will be a fun challenge for me.

Atlantic Blue is the top matte deep blue

6. The Half Blood Prince: Think Pygmy Puffs! Pick an item you bought just for cute packaging.

I think this one’s pretty appropriate for a Harry Potter themed project. The Wet N Wild bronzer in You’re Dragon me Down is so pretty. I really like the way this bronzer looks on my skin. BUT, let’s be honest, I bought it because it has a dragon imprinted in the bronzer. It’s such a nice product. I don’t expect to hit pan on this one, but I want to get as much use out of it as possible by July.

7. The Deathly Hallows: “Always” – Pick your most loved item.

This one’s easy for me. I love the LipSense glossy gloss. I love my LipSense shades, and I use my glossy gloss with every shade (unless I decide to go with a matte look). My gloss is pretty low in the jar currently, so I think this will be a good product to try to pan. It’s also a product I really love.

Be sure to check out Christina’s video! Which item do you think will be most challenging for me to use?

I use number two every single day! And well, you know I use and love number 7. If you need more gloss, I’ve got you! Haha
