One of my favorite holiday traditions is taking Remus to see Santa. He LOVES Santa. If there’s room, you’ll find him in Santa’s lap ready to beg for treats and toys and all the belly rubs a pup can ask for. This year we went to Santa Paws, an event by the Scott County Humane Society, and the pictures did not disappoint.
He says he’s been a very good boy this year, and snuggled right on up to Santa to prove it. I already had this buffalo plaid vest, and these jammies for Remus were the perfect match!
“Santa, let me tell you exactly what I want! I LOVE mini Milkbone treats, and toys and treats that last me a while – I love to chew!”
We took our Christmas card photos, of course. We had our matching outfits, but I also found matching human + pet Santa hats! They added the perfect touch to our photos.
He normally loves being held like a baby…. but I think it embarrassed him in front of Santa.
The bandana deserves a special shout out. Mr. Moose and Co is our go-to for bandanas for this handsome boy, and this pickle bandana was perfect for this pickle loving mama (the love for pickles runs deep – check out this post to see the pickle festival I attended in Maryland, and this post to see my pickle beer rankings). She makes some great styles and we love supporting her! And her pup, Moose, is the most handsome little Golden Retriever!
We also, of course, had to see The Grinch again this year. Look how cute he is matching The Grinch!
And, of course, we had to make another little stop after seeing Santa. Santa told him what a good boy he’s been this year, and all good boys deserve pup cups. Remus loves a good pup cup, and was thrilled to start the Christmas season off with the promise of tasty treats coming.
Merry Christmas!
