This weekend, I’m heading to Nashville for my friend Taylor’s bachelorette. When I travel, comfort is my #1 priority. I hate being stuck in a car for hours while wearing an uncomfortable outfit. I’ve put together a comfortable, affordable, yet chic travel outfit.

I love this comfy tee from Aerie. It’s cute, it’s so comfortable, and right now it’s on sale! I sized up so it would be a little more “oversized” and I’m really glad I did. I paired it with this really cute bralette, also from Aerie. I love a bralette for travel. They’re so comfortable, and it adds a little bit of pretty detail to a basic tee.

I love wearing leggings when I travel. I picked up these lattice leggings at Walmart for under $15! They’re so comfortable, and I love the lattice/mesh detail. We’re doing a workout-type class Saturday, so I can wear these again on the trip, saving me an item to pack! I love the mesh pocket too. I love workout pants that come with a place to put your phone while you work out!

I talked in my last post about my love of cardigans for the spring. Nordstrom is killing it right now with their cardigan game. I’ve been wearing this cardigan nonstop lately. I love a good cardigan for travel. It’s easy to remove if you get hot, or throw on if you get chilly. This one is so soft and very comfortable.

I found this scarf on Amazon, and I’m really excited to travel with it! It has a secret pocket, which is really nice. You can fit your phone, passport, ID, and credit cards in the pocket, and it keeps it more secure than carrying it in a bag, and makes those items easier to find. We are driving to Nashville, but this will be perfect for flights later in the year (D.C. I’m coming for ya!).

I finished the outfit with a simple black pair of flip flops. I’m a sucker for flip flops, so they’re usually my travel shoe of choice. If I’m taking boots, I’ll usually wear those because they’re the largest space taker when I’m packing, but I don’t think I’ll be taking any this weekend. The Adidas shoes I wore in this post would also be really nice to travel with.

I’ve been planning on picking up a new suitcase for a while. The suitcase I’ve always used as a carry on is one I’ve had since I was young, covered in horses. It’s cute, it’s easy to spot in the airport, but I don’t feel like it’s very “adult” and I’ve been wanting to upgrade for a while. Jett Black sent me this gorgeous checked black carry on, and I’m so excited to travel with it.

I love the chic black design. The interior has a side with straps to hold your items in tightly, and a side with a zipper to separate your items. The zippered side also has a mesh pocket, which is great for holding smaller items.

What I love most about this suitcase is the built-in lock. I have a suitcase lock… somewhere. I always lose it somehow and can never lock my luggage. I’m not concerned with having it this weekend, because I’ll be going with a bunch of girls from my small group, but I’ll be very thankful when I use this suitcase to fly. It always makes me feel a little more safe when I fly with luggage that’s locked.
