New Year’s Eve 2024-2025

We’re a little bit into 2025. I haven’t necessarily been putting this post off, but I had a couple of other posts that I wanted to get up first (mainly my 2025 Project Pan post and December 2024 Product Empties post). I don’t usually do a post talking about what I want from the new year, but I do enjoy sharing about my New Year’s Eve if I do something fun or exciting. This year (as well as last year), I spent New Year’s Eve at The Grove in downtown Lexington (you can check out this post to see last year’s adventures, and this post to see my full blog post on The Grove – full disclaimer, I do need to update that, and plan on doing that very soon) with some of my girlfriends.

This year’s theme was Cirque Noir, and I loved it. The decor was very circus-y, and my friend Jess (who does social media for The Grove) even saved me some of the scraps to put in my Junk Journal/scrapbook to take home, which was very sweet. I dressed accordingly, and so did everyone else! I loved seeing everyone who went all out for the theme! You can check out my outfit details here.

One of my favorite parts of NYE at The Grove is the themed drinks. Harvey’s Bar (part of The Grove) always has unique and creative drinks, and they had some specials for the night. I tried most of them on the menu. The Contortionist was my favorite drink of the night (Jess, if you’re reading this, this is my petition to make that permanent). The Greatest Show on Earth was also very, very good (and came with sprinkles!).

Along with the theme, they had some fun entertainment. A Tarot reader told us our fortunes for the year (hint: mine was bleak, but she did tell me I would be in my “Bad B Era” so that should be fun for 2025). They had a girl waving flags, doing hula hoop tricks, and juggling, which was pretty cool. It looked like everyone was having a great time. The dance floor STAYED busy!

One thing I love about New Year’s Eve at The Grove is that they do provide food with the ticket price. This year they had charcuterie from Fable (I LOVE her charcuterie boards), funnel cake fries, fried oreos, sliders, and chicken sliders (yum!). I also love that your ticket generally involves having a place to sit (if you go, I do recommend getting there a little early just to solidify that).

Tickets for the night also include a champagne toast at midnight, which (of course) I love. I’m a champagne girlie through and through, so I’m always ready to toast my girls at midnight!

Overall, I had a great night! Ringing in the new year with some of my favorite girls is always a win for me, and if this is how the year is starting, I’m hoping the rest of the year will go as well! Happy 2025 and cheers!
