OTK Boots + Green Peplum Top // Fall Outfit

Happy second day of Fall! And, happy 31st birthday to myself! Fall is my favorite time of the year, and maybe it’s because my birthday falls on the second day. I’m very excited that the weather is cooperating, and that means alllllll the Fall outfits! My bestie took me on a birthday date to Harkness Edwards Vineyards this weekend (thanks Jess, it was wonderful!), so I broke out my over the knee boots.

I have wide calves, and I never thought I’d be able to find OTK boots that fit. However, I found this pair and they are amazing. They’re beautiful, and so comfortable. I even wore them around the zoo last year with zero issues. I’ve seen some ladies mention that their calves won’t allow them to wear OTK boots, but these are absolutely the solution to that! They come in extra wide calf sizes, which is amazing!

I’ve worn these boots with leggings (as shown in this post), jeans (as shown here for a Celine Dion concert last year), or on their own with a dress and/or skirt (with a dress for my Shania Twain Halloween costume last year, shown here, and with shorts last year for a Rachel Green inspired outfit shown here). They’re very versatile, which I think is really important.

This weekend, I paired these boots with my favorite leggings, a peplum top, and my favorite black cardigan. This top is so pretty, and only $8. I love the mesh cutout in the middle. You can’t really tell it’s mesh until you’re up close, which I think is fun. I love green, but it also comes in a couple of other colors (it comes in black too, but I forced myself to go with another color, and green is always my backup).

This outfit was perfect for this cooler weather. The cardigan is just warm enough, and the boots of course add some warmth. If it gets a little toasty, the top is cute on its own! I ended up taking the cardigan off for a bit, and the outfit was still gorgeous.

I posted last week about my favorite Fall eyeshadow palettes, and this palette was perfect with this outfit. It’s a gorgeous palette that I’ve really been enjoying using, and can’t wait to continue using it all Fall. For this look, I went with a purple eye, and I love the way it turned out. Leave me a comment if you want a tutorial!

I’ve also been playing around with doing my own dip nails. I ordered a DIY kit when COVID started, but it didn’t arrive for over 2 months. I’ve been trying my own manicures, and have really been enjoying it! The shades in this manicure are from Daisy Dips and Kimberz Kreations (the orange shade).

Today on Instagram I paired up with a few other babes to share outfits featuring Fall boots. I went with my OTK boots, but there are knee high boots, booties, and so many cute outfits!
