Ok y’all, I’ve been slacking in 2019, but I’m ready to get it together! I finished up my 2018 project pan. If you’ve never heard of project pan, you can check out my original post. I also posted a 6 month update. This will be my finale post, so I’ll just be talking about the products I’ve finished since the 6 month update.
First, I hit MAJOR pan on my Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer. The sides still had quite a bit of product, but the middle was pretty much eliminated. I tried to repress the sides, butttttttttt it was a fail, so I ended up throwing this product away earlier this week. I’m sad about that, but I’m pretty happy that I made so much progress.
I used up quite a bit of Risque in the Too Faced Natural Matte palette. I really thought I would hit pan on this product sooner, but it took me until December. I was in a bit of a panic because I wasn’t sure I would be able to do it, but I finally hit pan! I ended up giving this palette to my niece at the beginning of 2019. She’s only 13, so I think this will be a great palette for her. I knew I wasn’t going to get much more use out of this palette, but I think it’s something she’ll really like. The all matte, neutral shadows are great for a young teenager just getting into makeup. They’ve reformulated and repackaged this palette since I purchased it, but from what I hear it’s still a really good palette.
The Kevyn Aucoin sculpting powder also took me a long time to hit pan on. I only use this for contouring, and you really need so little powder. But this was a gift, and an expensive gift, so I really wanted to get as much use out of it as I could. I moved this to my work makeup bag in 2019, so I’m still getting some use out of it. I really do love this powder for contouring, so I’m happy to continue using it.
The Colourpop super shock shadow in Mixed Tape was the first product I hit pan on in 2018. I really, really enjoyed this shadow. I think this was my favorite product in my 2018 project pan. Sadly, it’s no longer available. I used it until it started to dry up and stopped working like it did when it was brand new. I really love the formula of the super shock shadows.
As hard as I tried, I could not hit pan on the Too Faced Leopard blushing bronzer. I used this bronzer ALL THE TIME, and it still barely has a dent in it. It’s gorgeous, but I ended up tossing it at the end of the project. This product had been in my makeup collection for a long time, so it was time for it to go.
Overall, I really enjoyed this project! I love learning how long it takes me to use products, and really inspired me to spend less on makeup in 2018. I knew I had products I was trying to use up, so I really didn’t have a need to add many more products to my collection. Stay tuned for my 2019 project pan! I have a TON of products to use up this year, and I’m really excited to share them with you!
