Galentine’s Day at The Amsden

Galentine’s Day at The Amsden is my favorite Galentine’s Day tradition. I’ve attended every year since they started hosting this event, and it’s always so much fun. This year, a few other local businesses in downtown Versailles also participated in some of the activities, so I’ll include those also. I met up with a couple of my blogger friends to celebrate, and we wandered around downtown exploring some of the local spots.

If you want to check out my posts from previous years, the links are at the bottom of this post. If you want to check out my outfit details from the event, they’re linked here.

The Amsden

The Amsden is my favorite coffee shop. Not just in Kentucky, not just locally, but in general. I love heading there every time I’m in Versailles. They had 3 drink options to choose from for Galentine’s Day (apart from their regular menu, of course): Love You a Latte, Iced White Chocolate Raspberry White Mocha and White Chocolate Raspberry Hot Chocolate. I got an iced Love U a Latte, and it was delicious as always. This is a reoccuring drink for their Galentine’s Day events, and is always my go-to.

They always have stunning photo opportunities at all their events. The xoxo sign made a comeback, and I love taking pictures out there. They always have a photobooth machine, which is so fun too. We had so much fun taking pictures out there. I’ll share a few here, then a few more at the bottom of this post as well.

My Darling and Co

This shop is a newer addition to Versailles, but I think it’s there to stay. They have home decor, gifts, seasonal clothing, and so much more. I love checking out their jewelry. This year, they had a hat bar upstairs where you could customize a hat, which I thought was a pretty neat idea. We did a little shopping inside (I picked up a couple of goodies), and took some pictures in front of the photo wall that’s always seasonally decorated in the front of the store.

Holly Hill Cooking Studio

If you read my post about the Just a Few Miles South Bites of the Bluegrass Tour (if you haven’t, you should check that out), you know I recently had the opportunity to check out Ouita Michel’s new cooking studio. Located right beside The Amsden, Chef Ouita has a studio where she hosts cooking classes. We stopped in for a few minutes to watch a little bit of her cooking demonstration, which was so interesting. I love that there’s a TV in the studio so you can see her cooking skills from above. She’s so talented, and I love watching her cook!

Kristen’s Creations

I met Kristen at a blogger event last year, and she is an absolute sweetheart. She started a bakery across the street from The Amsden, and I love seeing the seasonal creations she comes up with. I picked up a cake pop for myself (white chocolate raspberry, YUM!). They had a cookie decorating station for Galentine’s Day, and I thought that was so cute! The shop is always gorgeously decorate for each season, and she always has creative treats.

The Amsden Bourbon Bar

The Amsden Bourbon Bar is always an interesting stop. They’re a small bourbon bar with unique concoctions. They always have a Galentine’s Day themed cocktail, so we stopped in. This year’s drink was a take on a Cherry Limeade, made with vodka and a special mix. It was so light and refreshing.

This event is one of my favorites, and I can’t wait for next year! Keep scrolling to see more fun pictures from the day!
