Summer is in full swing. If you’ve been here a while, you know I hate the heat. If you’re new here, hi, hello, I’m Courtney, and I’m a Fall girlie through and through. But we all do what we have to do to survive the summer, and for me, that definitely includes a few fun pool days. Pool days don’t have to be boring, and I love throwing a few pool favorites into a bag and relaxing in the water. These are items I keep around and almost always toss in my pool bag to make the day as fun as possible! I posted another pool favorites post years ago (check that out here), and thought it would be fun to do a little update!

I love my Tesalate towel. I have a couple of them and they’re so cute. This one is the Lemonade print (I’ve had a lemon obsession lately, and I don’t know why, but this towel is perfect for that). I don’t have a beach near me, and don’t often venture to the beach, but I love that if I do, this towel is coming with me (my leopard print towel did last time I went to the beach), It’s rapid-drying (perfect for the pool or beach), and they’re sand-free! They don’t collect sand at the beach like regular pool + beach towels! It’s so easy to pack up and toss back in my bag!
I saw this bag on Tik Tok, and immediately fell in love. It’s gorgeous! I took it with me on my recent trip to South Carolina, and my bestie immediately asked me for a link. It’s so pretty. This is also the perfect bag for the pool and/or beach, because it’s water and sand resistant! I love that part about it, but also just love how stunning it is (anything but boring over here please).
As a pale girlie (ginger life), I try to avoid getting burnt if at all possible. Sun Bum is my favorite brand of sunscreen. I know there’s a debate about the effectivity of SPF levels, but I don’t like to risk it. Their SPF 70 spray works so well for me, and it’s the only sunscreen I’ve used for years.
I love to just float along in the pool, but I also love making pool days FUN. Inflatables are a great way to do that. I have pool cornhole, a few floaties (RIP to my favorite dino floatie that got a hole in it a little while back), and even an inflatable cooler I recently picked up at Michael’s on clearance. I love checking out places like Target, Five Below, and Walmart to find fun pool floaties!
Along with my floaties… a pump is a necessity for me. I love this one because it has a wall and car plug (perfect for on-the-go, or times when you’re not near an actual building). It comes with a few different nozzles as well (it works for air mattresses too, which is great for lake trips!). Floaties can take so long to inflate without a pump, and this just makes it so much easier.
Of course being out in the sun means cute sunnies. I want my eyes protected and peaceful while out in the sun all day. I’m not really picky with my sunnies, but I love the set linked here.
I’ve been a flip flop girlie my whole life, so of course the pool is perfect for a pretty pair. I love these glittery flip flops, just for a fun touch!
Pool days require music! I’ll die on this hill. I have a pool playist always at the ready. I always pack a speaker just in case. I fell in love with the one I linked… like I said, I am a fall girlie all the way, and this speaker is a cute little pumpkin! It lights up in fun colors too!
These are more for a casual pool or beach day, but I love a good theme. Cute little beachy earrings are so cute. I love this pair (cute as shell, come ON! Branding on point) and this pair (love the little fishies) specifically – they fit the theme so well. They’re affordable and pretty, and I think they’re pretty unique!
I almost ALWAYS have a koozie with me. Of course the pool is no different. I love a good cold beverage for the pool. This one’s really cute and fun (I’ve had it in my travel bag for my last two trips as well). I recently tried the new strawberry watermelon flavor of Ale-8, and I think it would be the perfect pool drink! It’s nice and refreshing!
I also rarely go anywhere without a portable charger. I hate my phone dying (especially while you’re playing music on the speaker!). The chargers linked have been my go-to for years now. I love the color options, and they’re very affordable (a 2 pack for less than $30 is pretty good). They work really well and the battery life lasts quite a bit, and I love that you can charge multiple phones at one time.
Did I miss any of your favorite pool items? What do you make sure to pack in your pool bag that I missed and may need to add to mine?!

This weekend was beautiful. Well, Saturday was. I spent the morning volunteering with some girls…
