Happy Galentine’s Day! One of my favorite traditions is attending the annual Galentine’s Day in Versailles. The Amsden always hosts a big event, and it’s so fun. It’s full of activities, including DIY valentines, drink specials, a braid bar, and a permanent jewelry station. This year, a few other local businesses participated, and it was such a fun little girls’ day. If you’re here for the Galentine’s details, keep reading. The Amsden has my favorite coffee in Kentucky. Each year for Galentine’s Day, they release drink specials. This year’s I Love You a Latte featured espresso, steamed milk, brown sugar syrup, salted caramel syrup, whipped cream, valentines sprinkles, white chocolate drizzle, and a marshmallow heart. It definitely did not disappoint. They have a shop attached to the coffee shop, which always has so many cute items available for purchase (I brought a few things home). I always love stopping in for coffee and a bit of shopping! They also always have balloon decor (this year’s is from Elevated Balloons & Design Co), which makes for the CUTEST pictures!
The Bourbon Bar also usually features a special festive drink, so we stopped in for a bit. The “Your Ex is a Dipstick” was a big hit. It had vodka, strawberry syrup, lemon juice, and fun dip. It was so cute, and absolutely delicious (it was right up my alley)!
Kristen’s Kreations is a little bakery, and I was excited that they also had some specials for Galentine’s Day. I picked up a white chocolate raspberry cake pop (yum!), and took advantage of their little photo backdrop. It was my first time in the shop, and I’ll definitely be back. Everything looked so yummy.
This cute little shop opened a few months ago. I went to their opening day, and had to make a little stop this weekend as well. They had so many cute things in the store, and I had to pry myself away. Their jewelry is always so pretty (I bought a bracelet from them at last year’s Galentine’s Day event), and I love their home decor and UK items. They were also giving away free heart sunnies with every purchase, which I thought was really cute (check them out in the pictures in this post).
My friend Sara and I always go to Galentine’s Day in Versailles, and this year was no different. We also met up with my friend Tif (check out her blog here). There are so many fun activities to do while hanging out with gal pals, and I love that. Versailles is such a cute little city, and I love exploring downtown.
Shop Southern Belle has some of the cutest shirts, and I’ve really been enjoying their shop. They have holiday tees, UK tees, and more, and when I saw this top, I knew I wanted it in my closet. For this event, I wore it over a black maxi dress, and I love the look. I almost wore sneakers, but I decided to go with these flats, and I think it was a good decision. For my makeup, I used the Colourpop 143 palette, along with their new heart stamp. I love Kiss press on nails, and this set is absolutely perfect for Galentine’s Day. I’ve gotten so many compliments on them, and I think they’re gorgeous. Of course I always need some cute earrings to complete a look, and I love this pair – they’re sparkly and iridescent, which made them a perfect match for this tee.
I recently attended a blogger event at Lexington Bartending School. We tried a few concoctions…
