The holidays are in full swing, so I wanted to share a holiday recipe my family has loved for as long as I can remember. It’s a tradition in our family to make pineapple raspberry Colored Ice Cubes for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and it’s one of my favorite traditions. They’re refreshing and sweet (and a little tart, which I love). Start by pouring a large can of pineapple juice into a pitcher. Make sure to shake the can well before pouring. Next, add a packet of Raspberry Ice Crystal Light (we use these pitcher…
Galentine’s Day at The Amsden is my favorite Galentine’s Day tradition. I’ve attended every year since they started hosting this event, and it’s always so much fun. This year, a few other local businesses in downtown Versailles also participated in some of the activities, so I’ll include those also. I met up with a couple of my blogger friends to celebrate, and we wandered around downtown exploring some of the local spots. If you want to check out my posts from previous years, the links are at the bottom of…
Happy 2024! I’m a little late on this post, but it has already been a busy year. I wanted to share some pictures from my New Year’s Eve, and just talk a little about 2024 and my plans for the year. I had a blast on New Year’s Eve. I spent it at The Grove (one of my favorite spots in Lexington), with some of my blogger friends, and it was so lovely. 2023 was a rough year. I had Covid for a second time, we had a couple of holidays later than usual…
Happy Galentine’s Day! One of my favorite traditions is attending the annual Galentine’s Day in Versailles. The Amsden always hosts a big event, and it’s so fun. It’s full of activities, including DIY valentines, drink specials, a braid bar, and a permanent jewelry station. This year, a few other local businesses participated, and it was such a fun little girls’ day. If you’re here for the Galentine’s details, keep reading. If you’re here for the makeup + outfit details, scroll to the bottom of this post…
Valentine’s Day and Galentine’s Day are right around the corner. I love a good Valentine’s Day makeup palette and eye look, so I wanted to share some palettes that I think are perfect Valentine’s Day palettes. I love pinks, berries, reds, and I think these palettes really fit that theme. If you want to see some looks I create with these palettes, as well as some fun makeup tutorials, please follow my Instagram and Tik Tok! I took an adventure out to Eckert’s Orchard in Versailles last year to pick blackberries and peaches (you can check out my blog post about the experience here). I’ve been out several times since (even helping with the haunted trail in the fall), and it’s become one of my favorite spots. This week, I went out to pick strawberries, and loved it. Picking the Strawberries There are four types of strawberries planted at the farm at the moment. We picked Camarosa and Ruby June berries this week (I already taste tested a few, and…
Galentine’s Day at The Amsden is one of my favorite annual traditions. One of my favorite local coffee shops, The Amsden, always hosts a Galentine’s Day party. There are specials, special coffees, and vendors. It’s fun and festive, and always fun. It’s a great little girls’ day (ladies of all ages are encouraged to join in the fun). Outfit details are listed at the bottom of this post. Check out The Amdsen’s website here. Some links on Kentucky Girl Ramblings accounts may be affiliate links for which I receive…
The holidays are here, and a classic red lip is always in style. There are so many formulas and finishes for lipsticks, so I’m here to share some of my favorite red lipsticks to help you create the perfect holiday red lip. Most of these options are available at local retailers like Ulta and Sephora, so they should be available to snag before Christmas and New Years, and everything in between! I have quite a few red lipsticks in my collection, in different tones and finishes. Some have a creamy formula, some are glossy, and some are very…
Galentine’s Day is Saturday, and Valentine’s Day is Sunday. If you’re a single pringle like me (or an introvert who just wants people to go away on a regular basis), no worries! You can still have fun and enjoy the holidays (especially Galentine’s Day – just make it all about your girls)! I found a fun sweatshirt that’ll be perfect for this weekend (and nice and warm)! The Outfit I love personalized things. This sweatshirt had “Go Away” as a suggested saying, and I thought it was hilarious…
Galentine’s Day is Saturday. If you’ve been here a while, you may have seen my previous Galentine’s Day at The Amsden post. It’s one of my favorite annual traditions, and the photo opportunities are always too good to pass up. The Amsden (the cutest little coffee shop located in Versailles, KY) is always decorated with so much creativity for holidays, and I love celebrating Galentine’s Day with friends. This year, I went with my friend Sara, and I couldn’t pass up the chance to wear a Valentine’…
