Project Pan 2018 Six Month Update

I can’t believe it’s already July. It seems like it just changed from 2017 to 2018. I said in January that I wasn’t setting any resolutions to follow, but I did set a few goals. One of the goals I set was to pan some of my makeup products. If you don’t know what project panning is, check out my original 2018 Project Pan post. You can see where I started at the beginning of the year. Today I’m going to go over my 6 month update to show my…

Project Pan 2018

Hello, my name is Courtney, and I’m a makeup addict. My best friend Rachel is also a makeup addict. This is not good for either one of us, or our wallets. I got into makeup (I mean, seriously got into makeup) about 3 years ago, and it was mostly thanks to Rachel and my friend Sam. Since then, my collection has grown quite a bit. In November, Rachel told me about a YouTube series she’d gotten into, called the 12 pans of Christmas, which is part of a project pan segment. She suggested that I get…

20 Perfect Fall Eyeshadow Palettes

Fall is coming way too slowly, but it will be here very soon! With that comes the switching of makeup palettes. Bright, fun colors will be traded in for darker, warm browns and oranges. I’m personally a fan of using grays and darker blues also. I’m definitely a cool-toned girl. But in the Fall, I’m up for using warmer colors. I’m sharing 20 palettes that are perfect for Fall. There are some browns, oranges, yellows, greens, and grays. I can’t wait to start creating some Fall looks with some…

November 2016 Ulta Haul

New makeup is one of my favorite things. Ulta recently had a one day, online only, 20% sale good on all items, including prestige brands. They don’t have 20% off prestige brands often, but I love when they do. I purchased a few items from the sale, and I’m excited to share! I’ll let you know which products I’ve tried so far, and how I feel about the ones I’ve tested.   Smashbox primer water was definitely on my list. My face is dry, so any hydration I can add…

Sephora VIB Sale November 2016

Hey y’all, just a reminder that if you’re a beauty insider, the sale starts today! I’ll be sharing my haul in a couple of days when my products come in, but I just wanted to send out a couple of reminders. If you are rouge, the sale is November 4-7. If you are just VIB, the sale is November 11-14. BUT. Remember that today only, if you are rouge, you can share your discount with a friend! I have a friend that’s coming down tonight and I’m sharing…

How to Achieve a No Makeup Makeup Look

My mornings are usually very hectic. I am not at all a morning person, and I usually wait until the last possible second to get out of bed (sometimes later than the last possible second). I have to drag myself out of bed, and then I generally take my time getting ready, and end up rushing my makeup. I used to take my time with my makeup, and do my full face routine daily. After a certain point, though, it became tiresome and I realized I love sleep more than I love looking glamorous for people who don’t…

Lately my life has been about everything Fall. One thing I’ve been extremely excited for is the return of cranberry lips. They pair well with my fair skin, and I must admit, I’m obsessed. Maybe some of these will help! All but one are drugstore, so they should be fairly easy to find! Wet N Wild Silk Finish Lipstick Shade: Dark Wine Milani Color…

September Beauty Favorites

September was a great month. Fall officially started, I celebrated my 27th birthday, and I published my first blog post. I moved out of my first apartment after college and fully moved into my first apartment on my own. I discovered some new beauty products that I really like, and rediscovered some old favorites. I recently switched foundations. I had been using one that I wasn’t very happy with. It was making my nose and the sides of my face look patchy (most people have oily T-zones. Mine is extremely dry, and gets very patchy, making…

Top 5 Highlighters for Pale Skin

Let me start by saying that I am very fair. As in, fair enough that my older brother calls me Casper (very lovingly, I’m sure). It’s very frustrating when makeup brands are geared toward darker skin, without many options for us pale girls. I have found a few really good options that I love. My skin is also pink toned, which I think can also be hard to match. I have a hard time wearing gold tones (although if I’m wearing gold jewelry, I lean toward a gold highlighter). I know everyone loves…
